Hello hello!

Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde bringing you some more inspiration using Collection One: Hello Spring from March’s Flavor of the Month Card Kit.

The collection of cards is up above but I am also going to include individual pics of each card so you can get up close if you so choose. I am having so much fun with this kit! A Farmhouse Spring has beautiful patterned paper and some of the prettiest stamps I have now! I cannot stop embossing with these stamps! They look fantastic whether you stamp them in ink or emboss them.

There are a few kits left so grab yours before they are gone! Click here! Also if you would like to be a winner don’t forget there is still time to enter into the Rafflecopter for a chance to win. Click here for details.

The purple card base is from my stash, matted the patterned paper a couple of times using a light gray and light purple cardstock. For the bunny and the sentiment I used the same color pigment ink from Lawn Fawn, Peachy Keen. It came out pinker in the picture than it is in real life, in real life it is closer to that soft peachy color in the paper.

I loved the slim card from the sketches in the kit so much that I wanted to do another one and this little rabbit up on his hind legs was a perfect fit. Working with this kit I have ended up using my pigment inks quite often for sentiments and they are working perfectly. I wanted to stamp the sentiment out in brown rather than black because I thought it would go nicely with the wood plank patterned paper.

Really wanted to show off that fence ephemera and didn’t want to disturb the scene it creates all on its own so I kept it simple with the sentiment .

As I mentioned earlier I cannot stop embossing! This image is stunning in the embossing glitter used here and I didn’t want the sentiment to appear to be competing with it so I stamped it in Manatee from Lawn Fawn ink cubes and it was the perfect shade!

While working with this kit I constantly find myself debating which sides of the patterned paper to use and wanting to use both! If you are anything like me you may be doing the same…well not to worry there are some full paper pads available in the store. Click here to be taken right to them! (You’re welcome!)

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you can come back next Thursday as I continue on with each collection from the kit making more and more cards! I hope you are getting to craft more even if you are working from home or having to stay put. I have gotten so much more crafting done lately and I’m realizing it’s more my mind set than actually have any more or less free time so give yourself permission to play!

Keep on crafting,

Kim 🙂
